Final wishes- one last gift for your beloved pet

At All American Veterinary Hospital, our staff face death on a daily basis. It never gets easier and it takes a piece of us each and every time. We feel that humane euthanasia is a gift to prevent ongoing pain and suffering. Our staff mourn with you as you say your final goodbyes. We are honored to be with you during this time and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process. 

Decisions to discuss with the family:

- Would you like to be present?

• This is a personal choice that may be different for each person. Know that whichever you choose, you and your pet will be treated with respect.

- Would you like your pet cremated?

• Private cremation: your pet will be the only one cremated and their remains will be returned within 1 week. We will notify you when the ashes are ready for pickup.
• Communal cremation: there will be no return of ashes.

- Would you rather take your pet back home with you?

• Please check with your local city ordinance about home burial.

- Where would you like to say goodbye?

• In clinic
• Outside at the clinic
• At home

- Would you like to bring along their bonded buddy?

• Pets grieve just as we humans do. By allowing them to have one last sniff, they may get the closure they need. You are welcome to bring any pet you would like to say goodbye.

We have created a special room to provide you and your pet an extra layer of comfort during these final moments. 

All American Veterinary Hospital would like to offer you the following items at no charge:
